With brush in hand and a colour palette that is bright and bold, artist Rakhi Poddar has been painting ever since she was a young child. Hailing from the renowed business family of Agra, the 39-year-old artist has carved a niche of her own in the art fraternity through her paintings par excellence. A Delhi College of Arts prodigy, Rakhi wants to make her label ‘Dev Tar’ popular in each and every home. As far as she can remember, she started  sketching and painting at an early age. Whenever thare were any drawing and Painting competitions in school, she always stood as winner. Since the neighing it has been an ongoing process for me.

      Deep meditation is the key to her success. Whenever she feels alone and in a calm mood, she closed her eyes and it is then images start flasing across her mind which files me with happiness. The state of contentment she try to project with the help of brushes and colours. Challengers are there everyever but its your potential that how you keep yourself motivated for you path. But the definitely time is the biggest challenge as she have two young children and spending quality time with them becomes difficult .

       Work and family can be describe as the two sides of the same coin as both as equally important in one’s life. On one hand, profession gives us a personal identity and financial security and on the other hand family gives her and emotional security. her husband, entrepreneur Vikas Poddar, has been  constant guiding force of her. He motivated Rakhi to pursue art as a career and carve her own niche in society.

       Today’s generations is smart enough and they are very much aware of things around them, thanks to the presence of technology that keeps everyone updates. Rakhi just want to tell them to follow their own heart and create their own piece. Rakhi wants her work gets the requisite fame and recognition in the art scene. Also she want to support young artists so that they can find own way.
